10 Cult Member Arrested During Initiation In Ewekoro Ogun State

10 members of Eiye Cult Group were arrested in Ewekoro Ogun State during Initiation.At least 10 members of the dreaded Eiye confraternity group has been nabbed by special forces in Ogun State.

On Monday, Ogun State Police Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) stormed Papalanto and Ewekoro area of Ogun and caught up with the cultists while initiating new members.

2 of the suspects have been identified as Saani Afeez and Opadola Olatunde while the names of the 8 others have not been revealed.

Items recovered from the cultists include 2 double barrel guns, 3 daggers, some charms and blue Eiye regalia.

Vincent Obetta, the lawyer of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, has denied reports that his client apologized to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reports had surfaced that Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), apologised to President Buhari for referring to him as a terrorist, evil and a paedophile in his radio broadcasts.

Opec Advices FG To Boost Oil Refinning Capacity

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has highlighted the need for more refining facilities in Nigeria and other African countries to meet their growing demand for petroleum products.

OPEC, in its 2015 World Oil Outlook, said the inability to keep regional refinery output in line with growing product demand had led to sustained growth in product imports across the African continent.

FG TargetsN138bn Income Annually From Cashew Export

Nigerian Government is targeting an annual income of over $700m (N138bn) from the export of cashew nuts by the year 2020.

The National President, National Cashew Association of Nigeria, Mr. Tola Faseru, who disclosed the figure at this year’s annual cashew logistics meeting, noted that the government and all stakeholders in the cashew value chain were making efforts to raise the production from the current 180,000 metric tonnes yearly to 500,000 metric tonnes by 2020.

Federal Government Declares N86.5 For Fuel Price From January 1

Filling stations belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation will from January 1, 2016 sell petrol for N86 per litre, while other stations belonging to different groups of marketers will sell the commodity for N86.5 per litre, the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency announced on Tuesday after getting approval from the Federal Government.

The agency also announced the approval of the first quarter 2016 petrol import allocation of three million metric tonnes to the NNPC and other oil marketers.
